NAGPUR: Popularity of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is not limited only to India. The central board has affiliated schools in 25 other countries which is proof of its increasing clout in school education domain. To better administer these schools, the Board has now created a 'Foreign Schools Cell' (FSC) which will be based out of Delhi. The FSC will immediately be staffed with two superintendent rank officials but they'll have their task cut out as 60,300 students have registered abroad with CBSE from Std IX-XII. In addition to the two, senior CBSE official Sanjay Sachdeva, who currently is part of the CBSE-i unit, has been appointed as the single point contact and nodal officer for foreign schools to coordinate and resolve complaints. Sachdeva will also look into various issues and needs, such as issues relating to affiliation, academics, examinations, publications, coordination etc.
